Guest Speaker Biography
Kegan Moneghetti is Deputy Director of Cardiology at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne. He leads a clinical research programs across St Vincent’s and the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute.
Kegan is a cardiologist who completed his PhD at University of Melbourne, followed by a post doctoral fellow in exercise physiology at Stanford University, where he led their Sports Cardiology program until he returned to Australia to work across Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and St Vincent’s Hospitals.
His current research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of exercise intolerance and factors that drive recovery for acute coronary events. His work has been supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Heart Foundation.
