At Heartbeat Victoria’s Annual General Meeting on 9 September, guest speaker, Dr. Kegan Moneghetti gave an excellent presentation titled “Heart Health Check and Early Detection”.
In his presentation, a copy of which is included in the Resources section of this website, Kegan presented current statistics on cardiovascular disease in Australia with a focus on risk factors. He introduced the Heart Health Check and discussed its’ importance in early detection.
He also discussed the importance of Cardiac Rehab in secondary prevention, and the role groups like Heartbeat Victoria can play with peer support.
