At the recent 8 September 2026 AGM, Heartbeat Victoria elected three new board members, and re-elected four others.
The new board members include Vice President Mark Vorstenbosch, Secretary Amy Lock, and board member Deb Mackellin.
The board now has 11 members, and includes people with a lived experience of cardiac disease, professionals in cardiovascular research & healthcare, and professionals in finance & corporate governance.
Also at the recent AGM, the board thanked outgoing Secretary Vivien Williamson for her years of service to Heartbeat Victoria. President Christine Rees said “Vivien has served as Secretary of both the Board and Heartbeat Bendigo. Our Strategic Plan, New Rules of Association and Heartbeat Happenings are just a small part of Vivien’s work for Heartbeat, and we thank her for her solid contribution to the governance and meeting procedures and wish her well”.
