Heartbeat Ballarat Indoor Walk, Cuppa & Talk

Tuesday March 24th, Heartbeat Ballarat held its first Tuesday 10am – Walk, Cuppa, & Talk event in the Ballarat Badminton Centre on Dowling Street.

48 walkers participated in the indoor walk prior to the live talk.

Almost every Tuesday at 10am, Heartbeat Ballarat members walk inside Ken Kay Badminton Stadium at 407 Dowling Street Wendouree. It is a weekly 45 min indoor walk, at your own pace and distance. All abilities are encouraged to participate. Toilets are on site and seats available to rest during the walk if needed. There is also free onsite car parking, and there is an optional cuppa after each walk.

The guest speaker was Michelle Graeber, CEO of The Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria (ARCVic), a state-wide, specialist mental health organisation, providing support, recovery and educational services to people and families living with anxiety disorders. Michelle’s group aims to support and equip people with knowledge and skills that will build resilience and recovery and reduce the impact of anxiety disorders.
