“Working Together to Protect the Heart: Science, Community and Lived Experience” was the theme of Professor Rebecca Ritchie’s recent talk at Heartbeat Ballarat.
On Wednesday October 7th Heartbeat Victoria Board member Prof Rebecca Ritchie and President Christine Rees travelled to Ballarat for a Meet, Eat, and Greet event attended by 41 members of the Ballarat Heartbeat Branch.
The Black Hill Hotel proved a suitable venue, with wide food choices and excellent service.
Professor Ritchie was warmly welcomed and proved to be an excellent guest speaker. Heartbeat Ballarat President Mark Vorstenbosch welcomed the visiting Board members and local Heartbeaters with humour.
Rebecca’s talk covered a broad range of topics connected with Heart Failure, and Heart Failure Research. A lively Q & A session followed.
